Linguistic Families
The Slavic languages are a group of Indo-European languages (Balto-Slavic) spoken by approximately 250 million people in Eastern Europe, Russia, and Siberia. The Slavic family includes more than two hundred languages. It is a part of a larger linguistic superfamily that encompasses many other language families such as Germanic, Romance, Baltic, Albanian and others.
