World Heritage Languages
The world of languages is vast and diverse, and many are in danger of disappearing. In order to preserve these languages, UNESCO designated several of them as World Heritage Languages in order to raise awareness and ensure their protection. A range of these UNESCO World Heritage languages of cultures includes some of the oldest and most unique forms of communication. Sadly, many of these languages remain relatively unknown and undervalued. In this post, we'll look at five of these UNESCO World Heritage languages that deserve more attention. From the African continent to the Middle East, each of these languages has an interesting history and is still spoken today. As we explore each language, we'll learn why they are important and how they can be protected.
